Network Management Services

About us: The Network Management Services group is part of the Infrastructure department within Information Technology Services.

The Network Management Services group manages a number of resources for the MSU network community. These include the following:

• MSU Campus backbone network
  MSU's network backbone consists of two redundant 10 Gig routers feeding a redundant 10 Gig distribution network providing 10 Gigabit service to over 80 campus buildings.
   
• MSU wide-area network
  MSU provides network services to a number of regional offices and other MSU facilities.
   
• IP network resources
  • Domain Name Service (DNS)
  • Dynamic IP addressing (DHCP)
  • Static IP management and addressing
  
  
• Remote access services (dial-up, VPN)
• Backbone network monitoring
• Network statistics collection
• Wireless network service
