Network Management Services
About us: The Network Management Services group is part of the Infrastructure department within Information Technology Services.The Network Management Services group manages a number of resources for the MSU network community. These include the following:
- MSU Campus backbone network
MSU's network backbone consists of two redundant 10 Gig routers feeding a redundant 10 Gig distribution network providing 10 Gigabit service to over 80 campus buildings.
- MSU wide-area network
MSU provides network services to a number of regional offices and other MSU facilities.
- IP network resources
- Domain Name Service (DNS)
- Dynamic IP addressing (DHCP)
- Static IP management and addressing
- Remote access services (dial-up, VPN)
- Backbone network monitoring
- Network statistics collection
- Wireless network service
